Gettin' Stuff Done

Yeah, I am actually accomplishing something! Check this out.... nice, huh?

Oh, this is from the girl who keeps telling me she needs nail polish...reeeealllyy??? Maybe someone just needs to clean her junk up, eh?? Pretty much all she had in here that wasn't trash was nail polish. Geez.

I didn't take a pic of the huge bag of garbage I took out of the drawers!! It seems when Kiwi doesn't know what to do with something - or doesn't want to walk the, uhm, 8 inches, to the trash can, it just gets tossed in the bathroom drawers!!

I soooo love order and organization!! Too bad it happens once in..... let's see, how old am I now??

Oh, wait - there are more drawers upstairs.... oh, look! Is that more nail polish?? Uh-huh. This is actually a cleaner drawer....

And here's some of the stuff I took out... yeah, that's right, those are socks.... 'cause where do they get stored, if not in the bathroom drawers, really??

The Players in this Show

Me, Ann, the mum. Housewife slacker, (I understand the concept of cooking and cleaning - just not how it applies to me...) Mess-maker extraodinaire, Homeschool teacher, biggest lover of the pets.
Alan, the dad and husband. Smart, sensitive (but wouldn't want you to know that!) Motorcycle rider (think canyon racing crotch-rocket, not Harley) maker of the money, keeper of the reason, begrudging lover of the pets.
Kiwi, the greatest girl ever. Not her real name, but someone truly thought we named her that! So it's been a great nickname. 13 years old, incredible imagination, likes fairies and dragons. Current obsession - all things Narnian. And stuffies...needs lots and lots of stuffies to cuddle. Her best friend is her horse stuffie, nearly loved to death over the last 9 years. Doll collector. Has the gift of friendship, and the trial of anxiety. A lover of the pets, but they think she's on their level.
Merry, the girlie dog. Born on Christmas Eve, stuck in mama too long, has brain damage. Half yellow lab, half golden retriever, full sweetie. Smart but incredibly silly. Some would call her stupid, but it isn't so. Softest dog ever.
Matt the Cat, provider of entertainment, snatcher of ponytail elastics ("hairdoobies" at our house) which he stores in his food dish. Along with Polly Pocket clothing. Runt of his litter. Thinks he's tough, but we're onto him. Except for Kiwi, who keeps getting her ankles bit.

From West to East and back again ~ Weird stuff I have noticed

Now we are back in the West - YeeHawww!!
All the notes below are what we experienced in the East... Things are DIFFERENT there!
Even stuff that is the same, is different - like, Yoplait yogurt; no one carries my fave flavor - Mountain Huckleberry. Guess that's a western thing? And butter (and margarine) - here, even the familiar brands, they all come in long, skinny cubes... out west the cubes are shorter and fatter. Same brands - made different. Why?? That is WEIRD.
Humidity - You sweat more - much more - you are still flippin' hot. Sweat works better out west! It evaporates, you cool off..... here, you sweat, you get.... sweaty.
People are grumpy here. I've seen 3 people go into tirades at the market.... some folks need to CHILL.
Deer are everywhere! We see them every single day, at least one, just munching on the side of the road. Weird, maybe, but very very cool!
